Phi Phi Islands

Phi Phi islands! Another dream destination. A little paradise in South of Thailand and Indian Ocean. I got there by ferry, it was just one and half hours from Krabi, I was so fascinated with the views and I knew that was just the begin and I was right. Phi Phi will be always a special place for me, I got engaged here !! So excited!! Phi Phi is known by the paradisaical beaches and clear water. The views are stunning and breath taking. It looks like a movie that kind of movies where everything is perfect... The hotel was very nice, the beach in front was perfect, the water was warm just how I like it... And the company I couldn't ask for better, my beautiful fiance! Maya Bay, Monkey beach, Lagoon and viewpoint are some of the attractions. Maya Bay  is where the movie "The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed. The views are stunning and as one of the most important attractions in Phi Phi the beach is always crowded. So my advice is get a private boat and get there early in the morning. I went there at 7 am and it was perfect, just a couple of people... perfect to get into the sea, to enjoy the views, to take lots of pictures and get in touch with nature. The boat took me and Diogo to several and lovely places, it was the best boat ride ever, swimming and snorkeling with that view its something that I will never forget! 

Phi Phi viewpoint is one of the highpoints of a visit to Phi Phi Don. We decided to walk from our hotel, we didn't have a clue how far it was. Two hours later we got there... yes two hours walking, with no water and one of the hottest days. When we got there a man  was asking for 30 bath (around 70 pennies) to get in, the funny part is we didn't have any money with us!! So after trying to convince the man to allow us to get in, explaining we were walking for two hours, we forgot the money in the hotel, we realize he was a smoker and the only thing we brought with us was  a pack of cigarettes! Deal done! We gave the pack and the man allowed us to get in! I must confess the walking was all worth, the view is stunning!!! Phi Phi is a place to visit, if you have a chance don't hesitate. You will love every minute.  

As I said I got engaged in this beautiful paradise. I wasn't expecting it at all. I was so surprised and so happy. It was one of the best days ever!! Me and Diogo have been together for 7 years and he is the best man I could ask for. It was there, in that balcony with that stunning view that he asked me to MARRY him!! Of course I said YES!! The ring is the most beautiful ring ever! I was even surprised how he got that beautiful ring, we know how men are. I will never forget that day, that place, the feeling how is to get engaged. I will marry my best friend. Family and friends couldn't be more happier. 

Phi Phi was kind of the honeymoon before the wedding - PERFECT.

Ilhas Phi Phi, outro destino de sonho. Um pequeno paraíso no Sul da Tailândia banhado pelo Oceano Indico. Fui de ferry e demorei cerca de 1 hora e meia desde Krabi. Eu já estava completamente rendida àquelas paisagens mas sabia que aquilo era o inicio, muito mais estava para vir, e tinha razão. Phi Phi vai ser sempre especial, foi aqui que fui pedida em casamento!! Phi Phi é conhecida pelas suas paisagens paradisíacas e águas transparentes. Mais parece um filme em que tudo é perfeito... o hotel era óptimo, a praia à frente do hotel era perfeita, a água morna tal como eu gosto... e a companhia não podia pedir melhor!! Maya Bay, Monkey Beach, Lagoon e Phi Phi viewpoint são algumas das atracções. Maya Bay é o sitio onde o filme "The Beach" foi filmado com o Leonardo Dicaprio. As paisagens são espectaculares e de cortar a respiração. Conhecida como a mais conhecida atracção de Phi Phi, normalmente está lotada de gente. Aconselho a alugarem um barco privado e conheceram o sitio bem cedo, assim não apanham muita gente. Eu e o Diogo alugamos um barco e às sete da manha já estávamos a caminho. À chegada não havia muita gente, meia dúzia de pequenos barcos típicos da Tailândia. Estava perfeito para dar uns mergulhos, tirar fotos e aproveitar o momento. O barco levou-nos a ver outros sítios maravilhosos, onde dava para parar e fazer snorkeling. Foi o melhor passeio de barco de sempre!
Phi Phi viewpoint é outra das atracções turísticas. Eu e o Diogo não fazíamos ideia da distancia entre o hotel e o viewpoint mas decidimos ir a pé. Passadas duas horas chegamos! Sim duas horas, sem uma garrafa de água e com uma calor abafador. Quando chegamos havia um senhor a pedir 30 bath (cerca de 78 cêntimos) para entrar.  A parte engraçada é que nós não tínhamos dinheiro connosco!! Depois de tentarmos convencer o senhor para nos deixar entrar, explicar que já vínhamos a andar há duas horas, reparamos que o senhor fumava. A única coisa que tínhamos trazido connosco era um maço de cigarros. Acordo feito! Entregámos o maço ao senhor e entrámos. Confesso que aquelas duas horas a andar valeram a pena, A vista é deslumbrante. Phi Phi é um sitio a visitar, se tiverem oportunidade não se vão arrepender e vão adorar cada minuto.
Como vos disse fui pedida em casamento nas Phi Phi. Não estava nada à espera e foi uma grande e feliz surpresa. Foi um dos momentos mais felizes da minha vida! Eu e o Diogo estamos juntos há sete anos e ele é o melhor pessoa que eu poderia ter. Foi na varanda do quarto com uma vista de cortar a respiração que ele fez o pedido!! Claro que disse SIM. O anel é o mais lindo de sempre !! Confesso que estava surpresa como é que ele escolheu um anel tão lindo, nós sabemos como os homens são! Aquele momento vai ficar marcado para sempre, o lugar, as nossas reacções, as nossas lágrimas de felicidade. Eu vou casar com o meu melhor amigo. Família e amigos não podiam estar mais contentes. Phi Phi foi assim como uma lua de mel antes do casamento - PERFEITO.
